✖ Read an owned, unread book.
Well, this morning didn't go quite as expected - as I was approaching work, a houseless person flagged me down to call 911 because someone was overdosing at the nearby bus stop. I didn't end up very involved, since someone else was already on the phone with 911 and naloxone had been administered, but it was still the most involved I've been in a situation like that. I'm still catching my breath.
Current reading: "Marsha: the Joy and Defiance of Marsha P. Johnson", by Tourmeline
Minutes read: 64
Pages read: 93
Progress: 100%
I have a lot of thoughts and emotions about this book and it may take me a while to sort those out. Things I want to think/talk about eventually - the acknowledgement & discussion of disability in relation to Marsha's life, how trans folks are still fighting for the same things mentioned in the STAR manifesto 50 years later, and now inspiring Marsha still is to the queer/trans community.
