I haven't finished a zine since 2016 and have had one half done for over a year. Time to finish something.
MORE REDUCE & REUSE
I'm pretty good at recycling, but I'd really like to up my game in terms of reducing plastic use and reusing/mending items I already own. (Kylia is giving me a little help in the mending department.)
GET A NEW PIERCING
Either another set of lobe piercings, or a cartilage piercing.
READ 50 BOOKS
More would be great, but 50 is the goal.
VISIT FOREST PARK
I've only been talking about wanting to go for years. 🙃 Mostly I want to see the "Witch's Castle", even though it's really a decrepit bathroom from the 1920s...
FINISH 75 BOOKED
I've failed twice already, so maybe I'll get through it in 2026? It's made me think about/work on getting more daily reading in, at least.
GARDEN ONCE A MONTH
I've been terrible at working in the garden since Roommate moved in, so doing something in the yard/garden even once a month would be a HUGE improvement.

GET BACK ON MY WITCHY SHIT
Even though I now know my initial foray into witchcraft was a hyper-fixation, I would still really get back into do witchy shit now and then.
RE-OPEN ETSY STORE
Was supposed to do this in 2025. Oops.
VISIT JAPANESE GARDEN
Maybe with Susan S. or Catha?
PAY OFF SUSAN LOAN
The outstanding balance is currently $700.
GO TO CONCERT
Maybe Be Your Own Pet will tour again in 2026.
41ST BIRTHDAY!
READ GRACELING SERIES
I own all of the books, but have only read 2 of 5 books. I'll likely reread those I've already read, since it's been the better part of a decade...
GO TO THE COAST
Gimme that coastal air! The trick is figuring out how to get there, since I don't drive...
RESTART YOGA
I should actually use that Underbelly subscription I've been maintaining for years. 😬 I don't have a great space to do it in, though.
GO TO ZOO WITH RYAN
How did we not go to the zoo at all in 2025?! We still need to visit Tula-tu for the first time.
WORK AT RCR FOR 2 YEARS
My second anniversary at work will be October 18, 2025.
START PAINTING AGAIN
I haven't painted regularly in years, but I know it would help my mental health if I was able to do it regularly again. Maybe this looks like painting Artist Trading Cards or something else small to start with...
RESTART SHINTO PRACTICE
This was another hyper-fixation, but one that I miss because it helped me think more about being in the moment and existing in this natural world.
MOSTLY READ OWNED TBR
I've read less than 15% of the books I own, so the goal is for 50-70% of books read in 2026 to be from my own shelves. (About 25-35 books.)
PUT UP ART IN BEDROOM
I've lived in this house for 10 years and still haven't up much of the art I own. I need to fix this!
GET A TATTOO
Probably my "test" tattoo - a memorial for my dog, Ziggy, of the Canis Major constellation using thin lines and dots, planned to be minimal in case I can't handle the process well.
THOROUGHLY CLEAN BEDROOM
Which hopefully includes de-cluttering and getting rid of a bunch of stuff.
DO FERAL SELF-CARE CHALLENGE
I've been reading Feral Self-Care: 100 Ways to Liberate and Celebrate Your Messy, Wild, and Untamed Self by Mandi Em and marking pages which sound like engaging tasks. The goal is to work my way through these marked pages in 2026, probably about 1 task per week.
***BONUS GOALS***
READ THROUGH JANE AUSTEN
I think I've read 5 of Jane Austen's 6 finished novels, but it's been a decade or more since then. I would like to re-read those five, plus "Emma" and "Sandition", which she didn't finish before her death.
