It's been nice having a few days off work for the holidays. Being a lump around the house and having enough bandwidth to get some chores done has been a relief.

I'm rereading the second half of this in preparation for finally getting to the sequel - so much happened in the last fifth of the first book that I wanted to reacquaint myself before jumping into the next book (which was technically my Christmas book).
