It's November 20th, which means it's Transgender Day of Remembrance.

This has been an annually observed day by the trans community and its supporters since 1999 and focuses on memorializing all of the people killed by transphobia during the previous year - a number which is ALWAYS too high.

Here's a link to the Wikipedia article, if you'd like to read more.

Since I'm a cis woman, I have no desire to talk over trans voices about the importance of this day, especially given the current conditions in the United States. But posting about the day seems like a small thing I can do to try and bring awareness to today and what it's all about.
